This Easy Homemade Fresh Peach Salsa is a vibrant, refreshing condiment combining juicy peaches, ripe tomatoes, and zesty jalapeno. Perfect as a dip or topping, this quick and simple recipe balances sweet and spicy flavors for a delightful summer treat.

Ingredients

Fresh Produce

  • 1 lb. fresh peaches, diced
  • 1 large roma tomato, diced
  • 1/2 small red onion, diced
  • 1/2 jalapeno, minced (seeds removed)
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Juice from 1 large lime

Seasonings

  • 1/2 tsp. salt, more to taste
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper, more to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare ingredients: Dice the fresh peaches, roma tomato, and red onion. Mince the jalapeno after removing the seeds to reduce heat. Chop the fresh cilantro finely.
  2. Combine ingredients: In a medium mixing bowl, add the diced peaches, tomato, red onion, minced jalapeno, and chopped cilantro.
  3. Add seasoning and lime: Squeeze the juice from one large lime over the mixture. Sprinkle salt and black pepper evenly over the ingredients.
  4. Mix and marinate: Stir all the ingredients thoroughly to combine flavors. Cover the bowl and let the salsa sit for 15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  5. Serve: After marinating, give the salsa a final stir and serve chilled or at room temperature with chips, grilled meats, or as a fresh topping.

Notes

  • For a spicier salsa, leave some jalapeno seeds in or add more jalapeno.
  • Use ripe peaches for the best natural sweetness and flavor.
  • This salsa is best eaten fresh but can be refrigerated for up to 2 days.
  • Adjust salt and pepper according to taste preferences.
  • Try adding a pinch of cumin or smoked paprika for a smoky twist.
