This Vampire Blood Drink is a fun, kid-friendly beverage perfect for Halloween or any spooky-themed party. Combining fizzy Sprite with sweet grenadine and tangy lime juice, it’s topped with creepy ice cubes, cotton candy, and a decorated rim for an eerie yet delicious treat that kids will love.

Ingredients

Drink Ingredients

  • 2 cups Sprite
  • ¼ cup Grenadine
  • 1 tablespoon Lime juice

Garnish and Decor

  • 6 Maraschino cherries
  • Black sugar sprinkles (Wilton)
  • Red food gel
  • Purple cotton candy
  • Creepy ice cubes (gummy eyeball ice cubes or ice cubes with cherries/blueberries frozen inside)
  • Gummy eyes
  • Cherries or blueberries (for ice cube decoration)
  • Water (for making ice cubes)

Instructions

  1. Mix the Drink: In a large pitcher, combine 2 cups of Sprite, ¼ cup of grenadine, and 1 tablespoon of lime juice. Stir well to blend the flavors.
  2. Prepare Glass Rims: Pour lime juice onto a small plate and black sugar sprinkles onto another small plate. Dip the rim of each glass first into the lime juice plate and then into the black sugar plate, ensuring the rim is coated evenly.
  3. Drizzle Red Food Gel: Using red food gel, drizzle it over the black sugar rim. Allow the gel to drip down for a blood-like effect, which adds to the spooky visual.
  4. Add Ice Cubes: Place creepy ice cubes into each prepared glass. These can be gummy eyeball ice cubes purchased or homemade ice cubes with cherries or blueberries frozen inside for a spooky effect.
  5. Serve the Drink: Pour the prepared cherry-colored Sprite mixture gently into each glass, filling right up to the rim.
  6. Add Cotton Candy: Add a generous handful of purple cotton candy on top of each filled glass, creating a mysterious foggy effect when it begins to dissolve.
  7. Final Touch: Add a straw to each glass, and optionally garnish further with gummy eyes for extra spookiness, then serve immediately.

Notes

  • Gummy eyeball ice cubes can be purchased from stores like Walmart.
  • If gummy eyeball ice cubes are unavailable, freeze cherries or blueberries inside water to create spooky ice cubes.
  • The drink is best served immediately after adding cotton candy to enjoy the visual effect before it dissolves.
  • For an alcohol-free festive option perfect for children.
