A refreshing and vibrant Strawberry Watermelon Smoothie that combines juicy watermelon and sweet frozen strawberries with a splash of fresh lemon juice. Perfect for a quick, healthy, and hydrating treat, this smoothie is easy to make and ideal for hot days or as a nutritious snack.

Ingredients

Fruit

  • 8 cups cubed watermelon (seedless, fresh or frozen for a frostier smoothie)
  • 12 ounces frozen strawberries (approximately 3 cups)

Additional Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (juice of 1 lemon or 2 limes)
  • Optional: sweetener of choice if fruit isn’t perfectly ripe
  • Optional: 3-5 fresh mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Blend Watermelon: Place the cubed watermelon into a blender and blend until smooth. The volume should reduce to about 5 cups, creating a smooth liquid base.
  2. Add Strawberries and Lemon Juice: Add the frozen strawberries and freshly squeezed lemon juice to the blender. Blend again until the mixture is completely smooth and evenly mixed.
  3. Serve or Store: Serve the smoothie immediately for the best fresh flavor, or refrigerate it for up to one day if preparing in advance.

Notes

  • For a frostier texture, use frozen watermelon cubes instead of fresh.
  • Add sweetener like honey, agave syrup, or sugar if the fruit is not fully ripe or if you prefer a sweeter smoothie.
  • Mint leaves can be blended in or used as a garnish for a refreshing herbal note.
  • The smoothie is best consumed fresh but can be refrigerated for up to 24 hours.
