Create festive and spooky marshmallow pops perfect for Halloween parties or fun treats. These easy-to-make marshmallow pops are dipped in colorful candy coating and decorated with candy eyes and sprinkles to add a playful and eerie touch.

Ingredients

Marshmallow Pops

  • 10 large marshmallows
  • 10 paper straws or cake pop sticks

Decoration

  • Candy coating (quantity as needed, typically 1 cup for dipping)
  • Candy sprinkles (as desired)
  • Small candy eyes (20 pieces)

Instructions

  1. Melt Candy Coating: Melt the candy coating in individual microwave-safe bowls following the package directions, usually heating in short intervals and stirring until smooth.
  2. Insert Sticks: Insert paper straws or cake pop sticks into one end of each marshmallow securely to make handling easier.
  3. Dip Marshmallows: Dip each marshmallow into the melted candy coating, ensuring it is fully covered or partially coated as preferred.
  4. Allow to Dry: Place the dipped marshmallow pops upright in a holder or stand to allow the candy coating to harden completely.
  5. Decorate: Use additional melted candy coating as edible glue to attach small candy eyes onto the marshmallows. Using a piping bag or a small ziplock bag with a toothpick, add extra details or accents with candy coating or sprinkles to enhance the spooky look.

Notes

  • Make sure marshmallows are completely dry before serving to avoid sticky hands.
  • Use paper straws as a safer and more eco-friendly alternative to plastic sticks.
  • If candy coating hardens in the bowl, reheat gently in the microwave before using again.
  • Customize decorations by adding colored sprinkles or edible markers for extra fun.
