Ready in just 10 minutes, it’s an ideal dish for a healthy weeknight dinner or a tasty appetizer served with fresh lemon wedges.

Ingredients

Shrimp and Seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 3/4 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 32 jumbo peeled and deveined shrimp (1 ¼ pounds)

For Serving

  • Lemon wedges

Instructions

  1. Prepare the seasoning mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the extra-virgin olive oil, garlic powder, sweet paprika, dried parsley, and kosher salt. Mix well to create a uniform seasoning blend.
  2. Coat the shrimp: Add the peeled and deveined jumbo shrimp to the bowl with the seasoning mixture. Toss thoroughly to ensure every shrimp is evenly coated on both sides with the oil and spice blend.
  3. Arrange shrimp in air fryer: Place the seasoned shrimp in a single layer inside the air fryer basket. If necessary, cook in batches to avoid overcrowding, which can prevent even cooking.
  4. Air fry the shrimp: Set the air fryer to 400°F (204°C) and cook the shrimp for 5 to 6 minutes. Shake or toss the basket halfway through the cooking time to ensure even browning and crispiness.
  5. Serve: Once cooked to a tender, opaque finish, remove the shrimp from the air fryer and serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges for squeezing over the top.

Notes

  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure shrimp cook evenly and get crispy.
  • Adjust the cooking time slightly depending on the size of the shrimp; smaller shrimp may require less time.
  • For added zest, sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley or a pinch of red pepper flakes before serving.
  • Serve immediately for best texture; shrimp can become rubbery if left standing too long.
  • Leftover shrimp can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
