This Homemade Lotus Biscoff Spread is a creamy, luscious spread made from crushed Lotus Biscoff biscuits combined with a blend of evaporated milk, golden syrup, and warm spices. Perfect for spreading on toast, drizzling over desserts, or incorporating into your favorite recipes, this easy-to-make spread captures the iconic caramelized flavor of Biscoff biscuits with a smooth or rustic texture depending on your preference.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 250 g Lotus Biscoff biscuits (1 bag, 8.8 oz)
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 25 g Golden syrup (can be substituted with another dark syrup or brown sugar)
  • 130 g Evaporated milk
  • 2 teaspoon Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Biscoff Crumble: Break up the Lotus Biscoff biscuits either by pulse processing in a food processor or placing them in a ziplock bag and hitting gently with a rolling pin until the biscuits are mostly evenly broken into crumbs.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Transfer the crumbled biscuits to the food processor, then add salt, cinnamon, vanilla extract, golden syrup, evaporated milk, and freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  3. Process the Mixture: Blend the ingredients in the food processor. For a super smooth spread, process for 2 to 3 minutes until creamy. For a more rustic and crunchy texture, blend only for about 30 seconds.
  4. Adjust Consistency: If the spread is too thick, add a little more evaporated milk. If it’s too thin, add more crushed Biscoff biscuits until the desired thickness is reached.
  5. Use or Store: Use the Lotus Biscoff spread immediately as a delicious topping or ingredient in recipes, or store it in an airtight jar and refrigerate for up to two weeks.

Notes

  • The texture of the spread can be customized by changing blending time.
  • Golden syrup can be replaced with brown sugar or other dark syrups for similar sweetness and flavor.
  • Keep refrigerated and always use clean utensils to avoid contamination.
  • The spread works wonderfully as a topping for toast, pancakes, waffles, or as a dip for fruits.
  • Lemon juice adds a subtle acidity to balance the sweetness.
