These Graveyard Pudding Cookie Cups are a spooky and fun Halloween treat perfect for parties or family gatherings. Layers of creamy chocolate pudding, crushed Oreos resembling dirt, and festive decorations like tombstone cookies, candy pumpkins, gummy worms, and googly eyes make these dessert cups both delicious and visually delightful.

Ingredients

Pudding Mixture

  • 5.1 oz Chocolate Instant Pudding Mix
  • 3 cups Milk
  • 8 oz Cool Whip

Base and Decorations

  • 24 Oreo Cookies
  • 6 Milano Double Chocolate Cookies
  • Black Frosting or Black Edible Marker
  • 6 Candy Pumpkins
  • Googly Eyes
  • Gummy Worms

Instructions

  1. Prepare Tombstones: Using black frosting with a small frosting tip or a black edible marker, write ‘RIP’ on each of the Milano Double Chocolate Cookies to create tombstones. Set aside for later decoration.
  2. Make Pudding: In a stand mixer, whisk the chocolate instant pudding mix and milk together on medium speed for 2 minutes until thickened and smooth.
  3. Fold in Cool Whip: Gently fold the 8 oz of Cool Whip into the pudding mixture until well blended and creamy.
  4. Crush Oreos: Use a food processor to crush 24 Oreo cookies into fine crumbs, mimicking dirt.
  5. Layer Crumbs: Sprinkle 3 to 4 tablespoons of the Oreo crumbs into the bottom of six 9 oz clear plastic cups.
  6. Add Googly Eyes: Press a few googly eyes around the edges between the crumbs and the cup so they look like they are peeking out from under the dirt.
  7. Spoon Pudding: Spoon an even layer of the pudding mixture on top of the Oreo crumbs.
  8. Repeat Layers: Repeat layering the Oreo crumbs, googly eyes, and pudding a second time to build the graveyard effect.
  9. Top Layer: Finish by sprinkling more Oreo crumbs on top until they almost reach the rim of the cups.
  10. Insert Tombstones: Firmly insert one cookie tombstone into the center of each pudding cup to resemble a grave marker.
  11. Add Candy Pumpkins: Gently press a candy pumpkin beside each tombstone for a festive touch.
  12. Embellish: Decorate with gummy worms as desired to add a creepy-crawly effect to the graveyard scene.
