These Easy Cheesy Garlic Chicken Wraps are a quick and delicious meal option, combining tender cooked chicken, creamy cheese, and flavorful garlic wrapped in warm tortillas. Perfect for a satisfying lunch or dinner, they can be customized with sautéed vegetables and a touch of hot sauce for extra zest.

Ingredients

For the Filling

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or chopped
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

For the Wraps

  • 4 large tortillas (flour or whole wheat)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley, for garnish

Optional Add-Ins

  • 1 cup sautéed vegetables (bell peppers, onions, spinach)
  • Hot sauce or salsa, for added kick

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, softened cream cheese, shredded cheese, and minced garlic. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated and form a creamy, flavorful filling.
  2. Sauté Optional Vegetables: If using, heat a small amount of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté the bell peppers, onions, and spinach until tender. Add these to the chicken mixture and stir to combine.
  3. Season the Filling: Add salt and pepper to taste to enhance the flavors of the filling mixture.
  4. Assemble the Wraps: Lay each tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spoon an equal amount of the chicken and cheese filling onto the center of each tortilla.
  5. Wrap Tightly: Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll it up tightly from bottom to top to create a secure wrap.
  6. Cook the Wraps: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Place each wrap seam-side down in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until the tortilla is golden brown and crispy and the filling is heated through.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Remove the wraps from the skillet and sprinkle chopped parsley on top. Serve immediately with hot sauce or salsa on the side for extra flavor.
