Whipped Pudding Frosting is a silky, smooth, and creamy topping that’s perfect for cakes, cupcakes, or any dessert that needs a fluffy finish. It’s easy to prepare and offers a delightful texture that’s both light and decadent.

Ingredients

  • 1 box of instant pudding mix (any flavor)
  • 1 cup of cold milk
  • 1 container (8 oz) of whipped topping (like Cool Whip)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the instant pudding mix and cold milk. Continue whisking for about 2 minutes or until it begins to thicken.
  2. Once the pudding has thickened, gently fold in the whipped topping. Mix until it’s fully combined and smooth.
  3. If the frosting is too thick, I can add a bit more milk to achieve the desired consistency. If it’s too runny, refrigerate the frosting for about 15-20 minutes to firm it up a bit before using.
  4. Spread the frosting onto your cakes, cupcakes, or desserts and enjoy!

Notes

  • This frosting can be made with any flavor of instant pudding mix—chocolate, vanilla, banana, lemon, or even cheesecake.
  • For an extra flavor boost, try adding a teaspoon of vanilla extract or mixing in melted chocolate.
  • If you have leftover frosting, store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
