These Garlic Bread Rolls are the epitome of comfort food. Soft, fluffy dinner rolls filled with garlicky goodness, these are perfect for any meal or gathering.

Ingredients

Dough:

  • 4 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 3 1/2 cups + 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1 cup whole or 2% milk (warmed to 110°F)
  • 1 large egg (room temperature)

Garlic Butter Topping:

  • 1 beaten egg, for brushing the tops
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • flaky sea salt (for finishing)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: Begin by buttering a 9×13 pan. Melt butter in a pot, add minced garlic, cook until fragrant, then set aside. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, parsley, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add warmed milk, egg, and garlic butter. Knead until smooth.
  2. Shape and Rise: Divide dough into 12 portions, shape into balls, and place in the pan. Let rise until doubled in size, about 1-2 hours.
  3. Bake: Preheat oven to 350 F. Brush rolls with egg wash and bake for 20-30 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Prepare Garlic Butter: Melt butter, add garlic, cook until fragrant. Remove from heat, stir in parsley. Brush over warm rolls and sprinkle with sea salt.
