Strawberry Cold Foam is a luscious, creamy topping made from heavy cream, milk, and strawberry jam, lightly aerated to create a smooth, pourable foam. It’s perfect for adding a sweet, fruity twist to your favorite iced beverages, enhancing them with a delightful texture and flavor without overpowering the drink.

Ingredients

Cold Foam

  • 2 Tbsp heavy cream, cold (30g)
  • 2 Tbsp milk of choice, cold (30g) (nonfat milk recommended)
  • 1 Tbsp strawberry jam (6g)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract (2g)
  • Pinch of fine salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare to Aerate: Gather your aeration tool—either a milk frother, a sealable jar for shaking, or a blender for frothing the mixture efficiently.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a tall glass or jar, add 2 Tbsp cold heavy cream, 2 Tbsp cold milk, 1 Tbsp strawberry jam, 1/4 tsp vanilla bean paste or extract, and a pinch of fine salt if using. This combination will form the base for your cold foam.
  3. Froth or Shake: Use your milk frother, vigorously shake the sealed jar, or blend gently until the mixture increases slightly in volume, becomes thicker yet remains pourable. Aim for a partially melted consistency so it blends nicely into your drink without overwhipping.
  4. Serve: Pour the freshly made strawberry cold foam atop your favorite iced drink immediately and enjoy the creamy, fruity topping. Avoid making it in advance as it loses texture over time.

Notes

  • Using a milk frother is preferred for best texture, but shaking or blending works in a pinch.
  • The foam is best served fresh to maintain its airy consistency.
  • You can adjust the sweetness by modifying the amount of strawberry jam.
  • Add a pinch of fine salt to enhance the flavor, but it is optional.
  • This recipe is easily doubled or tripled for multiple servings.
