This Slow Cooker Spaghetti Casserole is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that the whole family will love. With layers of flavorful meat sauce, tender spaghetti, and gooey melted cheese, it’s a comforting meal perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Meat Sauce:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

Sauce and Seasonings:

  • 24 oz jar marinara sauce
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Additional Ingredients:

  • 8 oz uncooked spaghetti, broken in half
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the diced onion and garlic. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a slow cooker, combine the cooked ground beef mixture, marinara sauce, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, basil, oregano, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  3. Layer with Spaghetti: Break the uncooked spaghetti into halves and add it to the slow cooker, stirring gently to ensure the pasta is submerged in the sauce.
  4. Cook the Casserole: Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 3–4 hours or until the pasta is tender and cooked through. Stir halfway through the cooking time to ensure the pasta cooks evenly.
  5. Add Cheese: About 15 minutes before serving, sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses on top of the casserole. Cover and cook until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired, and serve warm.
