Ingredients

Tortellini:

  • 1lb cheese tortellini

Shrimp:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

Lemon Garlic Cream Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Tortellini: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook the Shrimp: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add shrimp and season with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Cook for about 3 minutes on each side until pink. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
  3. Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Add Parmesan cheese, lemon zest, lemon juice, basil, and thyme. Mix until smooth. Adjust consistency with more chicken broth if needed.
  4. Combine and Serve: Add cooked tortellini and shrimp to the skillet, tossing gently to coat in the sauce. Heat through for 2-3 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley before serving.

  • You can customize the dish with additional vegetables like spinach or sun-dried tomatoes.
