Baked Pizza Fries are loaded with a rich marinara sauce, melted mozzarella and parmesan cheeses, and crispy pepperoni which transforms ordinary french fries into the ultimate finger food. It’s a perfect dish to make whenever you are craving something cheesy and delicious!

Ingredients

Fries:

  • 2 pounds french fries, frozen (store-bought) or homemade

Toppings:

  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce, homemade or store-bought
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 16 slices pepperoni
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: to 375F. Line a large baking sheet (9×13-inch) with parchment paper.
  2. Bake the fries: Place frozen fries evenly in a single layer on the lined baking sheet. Bake until crispy and golden brown according to the package instructions, about 20 minutes. (If making fries from scratch using freshly sliced potatoes, you will need to adjust the cook time to 35-40 minutes).
  3. Add toppings: Remove from oven and spread an even layer of marinara sauce on top. Then add mozzarella and parmesan cheese, and top with pepperoni.
  4. Bake again: Return to the oven and continue baking until the cheese has melted, about 15 minutes.
  5. Garnish and serve: Garnish with parsley and serve immediately. Serve with extra marinara sauce or your favorite pizza dipping sauces on the side, if desired.

Notes

  • How to store: If you have leftover pizza fries, you can store them in an airtight container and refrigerate them for up to 5 days. Reheat them in a 375℉ preheated oven for 10 minutes until they are heated through and the cheese is melty.
  • How to freeze: It’s not recommended to freeze fully cooked pizza fries as the texture will change when thawed, but you can freeze each of the ingredients separately in airtight containers or freezer bags for up to 3 months and assemble and bake them at a later date.
