A rich and satisfying dish combining tender ground beef with a creamy garlic butter sauce, all cooked in one pot for a simple and flavorful meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz pasta (penne or your favorite shape)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and chopped onion, sautéing until fragrant and translucent.
  3. Add the ground beef, cooking until browned and breaking it apart with a spoon.
  4. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper, stirring to combine.
  5. Pour in beef broth and heavy cream, bringing the mixture to a simmer.
  6. Stir in the pasta, ensuring it’s submerged. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and the sauce has thickened.
  7. Sprinkle in grated Parmesan and chopped parsley, stirring until the cheese melts into the sauce. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to swap the ground beef for ground turkey or Italian sausage.
  • For extra greens, stir in fresh spinach or baby kale at the end.
  • If you prefer heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a handful of sun-dried tomatoes.
  • Replace heavy cream with half-and-half or whole milk for a lighter option.
  • This dish can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
