One Pan Tortellini with Sausage is a quick and flavorful dinner recipe that is ready in just 25 minutes. This easy and comforting dish is made with crumbled Italian sausages, cheese tortellini, fresh spinach, and a creamy tomato sauce.

Ingredients

Italian Sausages:

11 ounces crumbled

Garlic:

3 cloves, minced

Chicken Broth:

1/4 cup

Diced Tomatoes:

1 can (14 ounces) with juices

Heavy/Whipping Cream:

1/2 cup

Cheese Tortellini:

1 package (9 ounces)

Fresh Baby Spinach:

2 cups loosely packed

Salt & Pepper:

To taste

Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese:

Optional, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Sausage: Crumble Italian sausages in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
  2. Add Ingredients: Add garlic, chicken broth, diced tomatoes, cream, and tortellini. Cook uncovered for 5-7 minutes until tortellini is cooked and sauce thickens.
  3. Finish and Serve: Stir in spinach until wilted. Season with salt and pepper. Serve with grated parmesan.

Notes

  • I used 3 sausages from a 5-pack of Johnsonville mild Italian sausages. You can use around 11 oz of sausage meat.
  • Avoid substituting heavy cream as milk or half-and-half may curdle due to tomato acidity.
