These classic oatmeal raisin cookies are soft, chewy, and packed with wholesome oats and plump raisins. Perfect for a sweet treat any time of day!

Ingredients

Cookie Dough:

  • 1 1/2 cups Crisco
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 6 cups uncooked oats (quick)
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups raisins

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, beat shortening, sugars, eggs, water, and vanilla until creamy. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
  3. Bake Cookies: Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet and bake for 11 minutes. Rotate the pans halfway through baking and bake for an additional 4 minutes until golden brown.
