Enjoy this homemade version of Longhorn Steakhouse’s popular parmesan chicken featuring crispy breaded chicken topped with melted cheese. A delicious and satisfying dish that the whole family will love!

Ingredients

Chicken:

  • 4 chicken breasts, boneless skinless

Breading:

  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Topping:

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 375°F. Mix breadcrumbs, half the Parmesan, and seasonings in one dish. Beat eggs and milk in another. Put flour in a third dish.
  2. Breading: Dredge chicken in flour, then egg mixture, then breadcrumb mixture.
  3. Cook Chicken: Cook chicken in olive oil for 3-4 minutes per side until golden. Transfer to a baking dish.
  4. Prepare Topping: Mix remaining Parmesan with mozzarella and garlic. Top chicken with the cheese mixture and bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.

Notes

  • Can use Italian breadcrumbs.
  • Add red pepper flakes for heat.
