This Green Bean Casserole features tender green beans, cheese, and crispy onions tossed in a creamy sauce and baked to perfection.

Ingredients

For the Casserole:

  • 4 cups frozen cut green beans
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1½ cups crispy fried onions, divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add green beans and cook until tender crisp. In a bowl, combine beans with soup, milk, soy sauce, pepper, salt, 1 cup of onions, and optional cheese. Transfer to a baking dish.

  3. Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes.
  4. Remove, stir, top with remaining onions, and bake for 10 more minutes.

  • Green beans: Canned, fresh, or frozen can be used. See notes for variations.
  • Cheese: Add into the sauce or sprinkle on top.
  • Make ahead: Prep up to 48 hours in advance.
