Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
½ cup sugar
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
½ tsp cinnamon
Wet Ingredients
½ cup milk
⅓ cup butter, melted
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
Topping
¼ cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat & Prep Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 12-cup muffin tin or line with paper liners.
Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
Step 3: Mix Wet Ingredients In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Step 4: Combine Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and mix just until combined. Do not overmix—this keeps your muffins fluffy.
Step 5: Fill & Bake Spoon the batter evenly into the muffin cups (about ¾ full). Bake for 15–18 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Step 6: Add Cinnamon Sugar Topping While muffins are still warm, combine ¼ cup sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon in a small bowl. Gently roll or sprinkle the tops of each muffin with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
Notes
Roll while warm for best cinnamon sugar adhesion.
Store in airtight container to retain moisture.
Try brushing with melted butter before topping for extra flavor.
