Indulge in the rich and creamy delight of Frozen Mud Pie, a decadent dessert that combines the crunch of Oreo cookies with luscious chocolate chip or coffee ice cream. Perfect for satisfying your sweet cravings!

Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 11/2 cups Oreo cookie crumbs
  • 11/2 teaspoons sugar, optional
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

For the Ice Cream Layers:

  • 4 cups chocolate chip or coffee ice cream, softened
  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup
  • Additional Oreo cookies, optional for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare Crust: In a small bowl, mix the Oreo cookie crumbs with sugar (if using) until combined. Stir in melted butter until the mixture is well blended. Press this mixture onto the bottom and up the sides of an ungreased 9-inch pie plate. Refrigerate the crust for 30 minutes to set.
  2. Layer Ice Cream: Spoon 2 cups of the softened chocolate chip or coffee ice cream into the prepared crust, smoothing it into an even layer. Drizzle half of the chocolate syrup over the ice cream, then use a knife to swirl the syrup into the ice cream. Carefully add the remaining 2 cups of ice cream on top, smoothing it out. Drizzle with the remaining chocolate syrup and again swirl with a knife for a marbled effect. Freeze the pie until it is firm.
  3. Serve: Before serving, remove the pie from the freezer and let it sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes to make slicing easier. If desired, garnish with whole Oreo cookies for an extra touch of indulgence.

Notes

  • You can customize this pie by using different flavors of ice cream or adding your favorite toppings.
  • For a more intense chocolate flavor, use chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla.
