Ingredients

Dry Ingredients:

  • 1 and 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1 and 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp butter (melted)

Instructions

  1. Whisk Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients.
  2. Combine Wet Ingredients: Whisk in milk and egg until well combined. Then whisk in melted butter. The batter may have some lumps.
  3. Rest the Batter: Allow the batter to rest for about 10 minutes to slightly thicken. Meanwhile, preheat a griddle to 350 degrees F.
  4. Cook Pancakes: Pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the hot griddle. Cook until bubbles form on the top and the edges look dry, approximately 2-3 minutes. Flip the pancakes and cook for another 2-3 minutes until golden brown on both sides.
  5. Serve: Remove the pancakes from the griddle and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a dash of vanilla extract or a sprinkle of cinnamon to the batter.
  • If you prefer thicker pancakes, use less milk in the recipe.
