These Doritos Chicken Tenders are a fun twist on classic chicken tenders, featuring a crispy Nacho Cheese Doritos coating. Perfect for both kids and adults, these tenders are easy to make and bursting with flavor.

Ingredients

For the Chicken Tenders:

  • 1 1/2 pounds chicken tenders
  • 2 cups crushed Doritos (Nacho Cheese flavor)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Prepare the Coating: Place the crushed Doritos in a shallow dish. In another dish, mix the flour with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. In a third dish, whisk together the eggs and milk.
  3. Coat the Chicken: Dredge each chicken tender in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess. Dip it into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off, then coat it in the crushed Doritos, pressing gently to adhere.
  4. Bake the Chicken: Place the coated chicken tenders on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is crispy and golden brown. Flip the tenders halfway through cooking for even crispiness.
  5. Serve: Remove from the oven and let the chicken tenders rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce!

Notes

  • Use a rolling pin to crush the Doritos inside a sealed plastic bag for even crumbs.
  • Serve with ranch, barbecue sauce, or honey mustard for a delicious dipping experience.
