Crispy Roasted Chickpeas are oven-baked poppable chickpeas coated with 3 different flavors – sweet, ranch, and spicy. These make the perfect healthy snack, packed with fiber and protein to keep you satisfied.

Ingredients

Sweet:

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • ½ tsp cinnamon

Ranch:

  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp dried dill
  • ½ tsp dried parsley
  • ½ tsp salt

Spicy:

  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Using a strainer, drain and rinse the chickpeas. Pat dry and let air dry.
  2. Line a baking sheet and spread chickpeas evenly. Bake for 20-30 mins, stirring every 10 mins until golden brown.
  3. Make spice mixes. Separate chickpeas into 3 bowls, coat with olive oil, add spice mix.
  4. For sweet chickpeas, add maple syrup and cinnamon, toss and bake.
  5. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can store the chickpeas in an airtight container, but note that their texture will become chewier over time.
