Ingredients

    Onion Rings:

  • 1 large sweet onion
  • Batter:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • ¾ cup breadcrumbs
  • Other:

  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Slice the onion: Cut the onion into thick rings and separate them.
  2. Prepare the batter: In one bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together the milk and egg. Add breadcrumbs to a third bowl.
  3. Coat the onion rings: Dredge each onion ring in flour, dip it into the egg mixture, then coat it in breadcrumbs.
