Onion Rings:
1 large sweet onion
Batter:
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup milk
1 egg
¾ cup breadcrumbs

Instructions
Slice the onion: Cut the onion into thick rings and separate them.
Prepare the batter: In one bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together the milk and egg. Add breadcrumbs to a third bowl.
Coat the onion rings: Dredge each onion ring in flour, dip it into the egg mixture, then coat it in breadcrumbs.
