Ingredients

For the Coleslaw:

  • 6 cups shredded green cabbage
  • 2 cups shredded purple cabbage
  • 12 cups shredded carrots (adjust to preference)

For the Coleslaw Dressing:

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar (white vinegar can be substituted)
  • 12 tablespoons white granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Shred cabbage and carrots. Combine green cabbage, purple cabbage, and carrots in a large bowl. Toss to combine.
  2. Prepare Coleslaw Dressing. In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, freshly ground black pepper, and celery seeds (if using).
  3. Pour dressing over the cabbage mixture. Toss until well combined.
  4. Cover and chill. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to an hour before serving for best flavor. Keep chilled until ready to serve.
