Delicious and moist Cinnamon Swirled Banana Bread that’s perfect for breakfast or as a snack. This recipe adds a sweet cinnamon sugar swirl for extra flavor.

Ingredients

Banana Bread:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 and 1/2 cups mashed ripe banana (about 4 bananas)

Cinnamon Sugar Swirl:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

Garnish:

  • 6 thin slices of ripe banana

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, melt the butter, then whisk in sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in flour and baking soda. Fold in mashed bananas.
  3. Prepare Cinnamon Swirl: Combine melted butter, sugars, and cinnamon in a small bowl until thick.
  4. Layer Batter and Swirl: Spread batter in pan, add cinnamon swirl layers between batter, and create swirls with a knife.
  5. Bake: Bake for 60-70 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool and Serve: Let the bread cool in the pan for 30 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
