Ingredients

Orzo Pasta:

  • 2 cups orzo pasta

Chicken Sausage:

  • 1 pound chicken sausage, sliced

Broccoli:

  • 2 cups broccoli florets

Others:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat Olive Oil: In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced chicken sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Sauté Garlic: Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Cook Broccoli: Stir in broccoli florets and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.
  4. Add Ingredients: Add orzo, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then simmer.
  5. Cook Orzo: Cover and cook for 10-12 minutes until orzo is tender and most liquid is absorbed.
  6. Finish: Remove from heat, stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. Serve hot, garnished with parsley.
