Indulge in the rich and flavorful Cajun Shrimp and Sausage Alfredo Pasta that combines succulent shrimp and smoked sausage with a creamy, Cajun-spiced Alfredo sauce, served over fettuccine pasta.

Ingredients

Fettuccine Pasta:

  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta

Shrimp and Sausage:

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz smoked sausage, sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Alfredo Sauce:

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Garnish:

  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare Shrimp and Sausage: Season shrimp with 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, cook shrimp until pink, and set aside. In the same skillet, cook sliced sausage until browned. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Make the Alfredo Sauce: Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, mozzarella, and remaining Cajun seasoning. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
  4. Combine and Serve: Add cooked pasta, shrimp, and sausage to the skillet. Toss to coat in the sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm. Enjoy!

Notes

  • You can adjust the Cajun seasoning to suit your spice preference.
  • For a lighter version, you can use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • Feel free to add more vegetables like bell peppers or spinach for extra flavor.
