Ingredients

200 g butter, softened

  • 60 g powdered sugar
  • Seeds from ½ vanilla bean or 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 230 g all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Cream the butter and powdered sugar: Mix until light and fluffy.
  2. Mix in vanilla and egg: Blend until smooth.
  3. Gradually stir in flour: Form a soft dough.
  4. Pipe or shape dough: Use a star tip or hands.
  5. Chill dough: Refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  6. Bake: At 355°F (180°C) for 18–20 minutes until golden.
  7. Cool: Allow to cool completely before serving.
