Creamy buckeye fudge tastes just like the favorite Ohio candy, with a layer of sweet chocolate fudge on top of a layer of creamy peanut butter fudge.

Ingredients

Peanut Butter Fudge Layer

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1½ cups creamy peanut butter (NOT the natural no-stir variety)
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 3½ cups powdered sugar (sifted)

Chocolate Layer

  • 1¾ cups milk chocolate chips
  • 1½ tablespoons salted sweet cream butter (softened)
  • ⅔ cup sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Line the baking pan: Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving a slight overhang for easy removal. Set aside.
  2. Prepare Peanut Butter Fudge Layer: In a microwave-safe bowl, heat butter and peanut butter. Add vanilla and mix. Gradually add powdered sugar, stirring until smooth. Pour into the pan and spread evenly.
  3. Make Chocolate Layer: In a heat-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, butter, and sweetened condensed milk. Microwave and stir until smooth. Spread over the peanut butter layer.
  4. Chill: Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  5. Slice and Serve: Remove from pan using parchment overhang. Cut into squares and serve.
