This Banana Bread recipe is simply perfect, with a moist, tender crumb that’s quick and easy to make. It’s the best way to use up ripe bananas!

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • 3 to 4 ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 ¼ cups)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 1/3 cup sour cream (plain Greek yogurt can be substituted)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare a loaf pan.
  2. Combine Dry Ingredients: Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Mash Bananas: In a separate bowl, mash bananas.
  4. Mix Wet Ingredients: Whisk in sugar, eggs, melted butter, sour cream, and vanilla.
  5. Combine Mixtures: Gently stir in the flour mixture until just combined.
  6. Bake: Transfer to loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes.
  7. Cool and Serve: Let cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • To save time, you can skip whisking the dry ingredients separately.
