Tender, flaky biscuits filled with sweet cinnamon apple and topped with a vanilla glaze — an easy twist on classic apple pie in biscuit form.

Ingredients

Main Biscuit Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 cup apple pie filling, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter (for brushing)

For the Glaze:

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 °F (190 °C); grease or line a baking sheet. Mix the chopped apple filling with brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla.
  2. Flatten each biscuit into a ~4-inch circle. Place a spoonful of apple mixture in the center, fold edges up, and pinch closed.
  3. Arrange seam-side down, brush with melted butter. Bake 15–18 minutes until golden.
  4. Whisk powdered sugar, milk & vanilla into a smooth glaze. Cool slightly, drizzle glaze over biscuits, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Don’t overfill — leave a border to seal edges.
  • Press seams firmly to avoid leaks.
  • If dough becomes too soft, chill briefly.
  • Glaze after cooling slightly to avoid melting off.
  • Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on glaze for contrast.
